1Opioid, benzo, cocaine, meth withdrawal

Drug detox Florida

Updated

Drug detox Florida is medically watched withdrawal from opioids, benzodiazepines, cocaine, or methamphetamine. Treatment Solutions of South Florida in Pompano Beach lists all four plus alcohol, and uses medication during it, including buprenorphine or lofexidine and clonidine. Most Florida detox houses then keep short-term residential or outpatient on the same street so the next week has a bed.

Treatment Solutions: buprenorphine, lofexidine, and clonidine in Pompano Beach

Treatment Solutions of South Florida lists buprenorphine detoxification, naltrexone for relapse prevention, and lofexidine or clonidine detoxification. It will also take a patient whose replacement therapy was written somewhere else, and it offers maintenance with a supervised withdrawal later. Buprenorphine with and without naloxone, oral naltrexone, and extended-release injectable naltrexone are on the pharmacy list.

Banyan Sebring prints lofexidine by name, next to clonidine, buprenorphine, and both forms of naltrexone. Recovery Centers of America at Mount Dora lists the same opioid tools plus acamprosate and disulfiram, and HIV and hepatitis C medications. That last pair is not decoration: the testing row at Treatment Solutions already includes HIV, HBV, and HCV.

Benzodiazepine detox at the Key West VA, without cocaine or meth on that card

Benzodiazepine withdrawal is its own listing. The Miami VA clinic in Key West prints benzodiazepines detoxification and routine medication, without listing cocaine or meth on that card. Banyan Sebring prints benzodiazepines with alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioids.

Cocaine and methamphetamine detoxification appear together at Clean Recovery Centers and at Haven Detox. There is no buprenorphine for those two. The houses that take them still list medication during detox, then move the person into residential or hospital treatment on the same license. If the person also drinks or takes pills, look for the house that listed every substance, not the one that listed only opioids.

Four substances plus alcohol on one residential license

A drug detox center in Florida is a licensed house that takes the physical withdrawal first. Rehab, if it happens, starts after. Treatment Solutions of South Florida in Pompano Beach is a residential example: 24-hour residential, residential detox, short-term and long-term residential, Joint Commission and DEA on the wall. Haven Detox lists the same substances and adds treatment for co-occurring serious mental illness in adults.

DCF describes the state system as community providers for detoxification, treatment, and recovery support. The money is routed through Managing Entities under section 394.9082. Those offices do not run the ward. They pay the house that does.

Hospital, residential, and the veteran outpatient door

Clean Recovery Centers list hospital inpatient detoxification and hospital inpatient treatment alongside residential detox. The substance row is alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methamphetamine, and opioids, with medication used during withdrawal. Medicaid, TRICARE, private insurance, and cash are on the payment line.

Recovery Centers of America at Mount Dora and Banyan Sebring are residential: you sleep there while they taper you. Malcolm Randall VAMC in Gainesville is the outpatient veteran door, with outpatient detox and intensive outpatient under the same roof. The Miami VA clinic in Key West lists benzodiazepine detox and naltrexone, with no payment accepted, which is how VA houses print on FindTreatment.

TRICARE and cash where Medicaid is missing

Treatment Solutions of South Florida and Haven Detox both print TRICARE, private insurance, cash, and IHS/Tribal funds. Medicaid is not on those two cards. Clean Recovery Centers do print Medicaid. The Miami VA clinic prints "no payment accepted," which means the veteran file, not a free walk-in for everyone.

Sliding-fee lines are thinner on this drug-detox set than on the alcohol-detox page. If the card has no sliding scale, the Managing Entity for that region is still the public door.

Cocaine and methamphetamine: medication during detox, no buprenorphine

Aftercare, discharge planning, naloxone education, and a follow-up call sit on the transitional line at Treatment Solutions of South Florida and at Haven Detox. Recovery support at both includes self-help groups, housing, a recovery coach, and a peer. Haven Detox also lists help getting social services, case management, HIV early intervention, transportation, and suicide-prevention services.

Short-term residential is already on the setting list at Treatment Solutions, Haven Detox, Mount Dora, and Banyan Sebring. That is the usual next week. Spanish is printed at Haven Detox and at the Key West VA clinic. The VA clinic also lists sign language.

Pregnant women, veterans, and the HIV line

Treatment Solutions of South Florida takes young adults, adults, and seniors. The special-program list there is long on purpose: pregnant and postpartum women, veterans, active-duty military, military families, forensic clients, HIV, trauma, sexual abuse, and domestic violence. Malcolm Randall VAMC in Gainesville prints almost the same roster, because that is a veteran hospital clinic.

Haven Detox adds the co-occurring serious-mental-illness line. Clean Recovery Centers do the same. If the person coming off fentanyl is also psychotic, those two cards match the work better than a detox-only residential that never listed mental-health treatment.

Pompano Beach, Mount Dora, Sebring, Gainesville, Key West

Pompano Beach holds Treatment Solutions of South Florida. Mount Dora holds Recovery Centers of America. Sebring holds Banyan. Gainesville holds the VA outpatient detox. Key West holds the Miami VA CBOC. The hospital-plus-residential mix at Clean Recovery Centers is the card to open when withdrawal already looks like a medical emergency.

City pages on Inlet list every SAMHSA row in that town, including houses that do not detox. If the local file has no detoxification services line, do not talk a rehab into taking someone in acute withdrawal.
